On a cool, breezy final Saturday of April, Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa's prom was held featuring the full lineup of grand march, a dance and post-prom activities later at night.

The 35th annual Prom Grand March was held under a mix of clouds and sunshine, and fortunately rain held off for nearly the entire event.

B-B-E's 34th annual prom dance was held at the Brooten Pavilion. Prom in Jaguars Country has featured an indoor, in-person, COVID restrictions-free dance throughout the pandemic with the exception of 2020, when only an outdoor grand march was held. The grand march that year took place with no outdoor restrictions and was staged on the west side of the high school campus.

While most proms in the spring of 2021 did not feature an indoor dance, B-B-E students and guests gathered in person at the Brooten Pavilion as has become tradition in recent years in Jaguar Country. That dance took place under the supervision of prom parents and not school staff due to the ongoing COVID mandates in place under Governor Tim Walz.

Video below features one of the 53 couples that went through grand march.

Additional prom coverage appears in the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper's May 4 edition.
