Charles Sagedahl laid to rest (VIDEO added)

Charles Elwood Sagedahl, affectionately known as "Chuck", age 93, of Brooten, passed peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Funeral services were held on April 20 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brooten. Burial with military honors was in the church cemetery in Brooten. In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church and Concordia College. Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade. His obituary was published in the April 18 issue of the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper, and you can see it online along with an online guest/tribute book at http://www.hafh.org.

Charles Elwood Sagedahl was born October 10, 1930, at the family farm just outside of Brooten, the eldest of 8 children born to Cornell and Opal Sagedahl. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church.

A 1948 graduate of Brooten High School, Chuck was an amazing student-athlete. He excelled in football, basketball, track, and baseball during all four years as a Buccaneer.

Chuck was also a proud member of the "Brooten Octettes" and was known to reminisce about his time singing with the group.

On January 29, 2022, Chuck was inducted into the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa school Hall of Fame in the HOF Class of 2021. You can see the newspaper's SmugMug photo gallery from that night by clicking here: https://t.ly/IA0_T.
