Elrosa Saints edge New Munich on Peyton Winter's Sac Fly-RBI for walk-off SCL win

With Spring Hill clinching the regular season Stearns County League North title, the Elrosa Saints amateur baseball team had a huge home game with New Munich on Sunday go their way in a 10-inning walk-off 4-3 win. As the top seed was snapped up by the Chargers, Elrosa’s win over the Silverstreaks put them in the driver’s seat for the runner-up spot in the division and the playoff’s No. 2 seed.

Last Wednesday in an exhibition game at home with Raymond, the Saints out-hit the Rockets 14 to 11 but took a 7-5 loss.

To close out the regular season, the Saints host Meire Grove on Friday, July 11 with first pitch at 8 p.m. New Munich hosts Greenwald on Sunday, July 12 for their last regular season game. The SCL division playoffs start on Saturday, July 19 at the high seeds. Richmond (8-4) will be the SCL-South’s top seed, and Spring Hill is the No. 1 seed in the SCL-North.

The 2025 SCL division playoffs lead into the Region 8C tournament, and that will be hosted by Spring Hill in August. The first two region games will be played at Saints Field in Elrosa on Friday, August 1.

Remaining games for Region 8C are in Spring Hill on August 2, 3, 9 and 10.
