The Brooten Farmers Market will be set up from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 7 at the Brooten city park on the west side of town. This runs on Thursdays through the rest of the summer and into September. It is a rain-or-shine event, as the vendors can set up at the city park shelter and gazebo if necessary.
Available on August 7: baked goods by the Zimmermans (breads, pies, cookies, cinnamon rolls, granola) plus other vendors with leaf lettuce, spinach, strawberries, jellies and jams, Val TeVelde's hand-crafted cards and more. Also: fresh broccoli, zucchini and tomatoes from the newspaper publisher's family garden.
Also! Robert Anderson, Brooten Class of 1968, will be at the Brooten Farmers Market with his hand-drawn and hand-painted art work! Come check it out!
All of this is not a complete list, so be sure to stop by and see what's available.
