Stearns County Fair runs August 6-10 (VIDEO)

The 123rd annual Stearns County Fair is running this week, Wednesday through Sunday, August 6-10, at the fairgrounds in Sauk Centre. In the attached video, you can see a glimpse of the 4-H Beef Show last year at the Stearns County Fair.

Wednesday, August 6 is Entry Day for the fair. For the public, Gig Noonan plays from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Herald bandshell. The Knights of Columbus bingo stand runs 4 to 10 p.m., and the Midway opens at 5 p.m. (wristbands 5-10 p.m.). Other Wednesday night events include a 4-H Rabbit Show and a Ranch Rodeo (5:30 p.m.).

The Midway opens at 3 p.m. on Thursday and at noon on Friday. On Saturday, the Midway opens at noon, and the wristbands time is noon to 5 p.m. Finally, the Midway opens on Sunday at noon.

Feature entertainment events include:

Thursday, August 7: Dana and the Bottlerockets perform from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Herald bandshell; the demolition derby in the grandstand starts at 7:30 p.m.

Friday, August 8: the Red Letter Band performs from 8 p.m. to midnight in the Herald bandshell; a second demo derby takes place that night and starts at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, August 9: Gig Noonan plays from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Herald bandshell; the 4-H Premier Showmanship Contest is in the show arena at 7 p.m .; and a third demo derby for the county fair starts at 7:30 p.m. Also, from 8 p.m. to midnight, Dos Coronas performs in the Herald bandshell.

On Sunday, August 10, Auto Cross takes place in the grandstand from 1 to 4 p.m.
