The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa volleyball team, ranked No. 10 in the final coaches association state polls, will play for a state tournament berth on Saturday, November 1 in Fergus Falls. The Jaguars earned this by defeating Hillcrest Lutheran Academy in a 3-0 sweep on Tuesday, October 28 at Kennedy High School in Fergus Falls.
In the Section 6A championship on Saturday, B-B-E (23-6) faces Parkers Prairie in a rematch from September 8. First serve at Kennedy High School's Gold Gymnasium is at 7 p.m.. The match will be aired on Smooth Magic 107 FM of Glenwood. They stream online at https://www.kmgk1071.com.
On September 8 in Parkers Prairie, the Jaguars overcame a strong Panthers' effort in a 3-2 win. The home squad held a 2-1 lead in sets before the Jaguars won 25-13 in game four. In the deciding set, the Jaguars won 15-12. Parkers Prairie has a roster with 8 experienced seniors, and they will no doubt remember that 5-set loss to B-B-E as they head to Fergus Falls on Saturday night.
