6th annual Spencer Otteson Memorial Golf tournament is Saturday

Spencer Otteson, a 2006 Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa graduate, was the son of Glenn Otteson and the late Vicki Otteson of Colfax Township. He was a three-sport Jaguar student-athlete, a husband, father, a science teacher and basketball and golf coach and an all-around terrific young man who passed away at age 33 on May 25, 2021 after a courageous battle with colon cancer.

The Otteson family is once again hosting the Spencer Otteson Memorial Golf tournament, which is a 3-person scramble this Saturday, August 1 at Prairie View Community Golf Course in Brooten. Entrance fee is $90 per golfer, and registration is from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. with a 10 a.m. shot gun start. The golf scramble features 18 holes with many on-course events. The proceeds all go towards the Spencer Otteson scholarship, and all donations are graciously accepted. Be sure to contact Glenn Otteson or the Prairie View club house to register.
