    No, there's nothing terribly exciting coming in tonight's Brooten City Council meeting, but the Bonanza Valley Voice will live stream the meeting on the Internet. This is the first time - at least in central Minnesota - that a city council meeting in a town of under 1,000 people will be live streamed on the Internet.   • Turkey Fest is a grand success

    The annual fall Turkey Fest activities at Brink's Beer Joint in Swift Falls on Saturday (Sept. 17) brought hundreds to town on a day with pleasant temperatures and full sunshine. Brink's Beer Joint owner Ben Honebrink reported that over 140 tickets were sold for the turkey cook-off contest. Seven fire departments (Chokio, Donnelly, Cyrus, Murdock, Clontarf, Sunburg and Benson) battled in a firemen's fire fight contest. The Charity Parade was also a big hit.     The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa school board meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the elementary school media center/library on Monday, Sept. 19. The Bonanza Valley Voice will live stream the meeting. At 7:30 p.m. this video player will go live with the meeting.
