On a cool and somewhat wet Saturday, September 23, the Honebrink family and their staff at Brink's Beer Joint in Swift Falls hosted their annual Turkey Fest celebration. This event has regularly celebrated the turkey-growing agriculture operations of the area, which are prominent across western Stearns County and Kandiyohi and Swift counties. The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa football team is 6-0 after defeating Browerville by a 42-6 score on Homecoming night on Friday, October 6. This comes a week after the Jaguars upset No. 9-ranked Upsala/Swanville Area by a 14-6 score in come-from-behind fashion. In the Section 4A standings, the Jaguars sit in first place ahead of U/SA and Browerville. A-C-GC and Benson are in the fourth and fifth place spots, while Long Prairie-Grey Eagle rounds out the group in sixth place.
