Another day, another stabbing in the New York City subway system. The Big Apple has always had crime, but under blue leadership it's gotten much, much worse. We can poke fun at politicians and decry their abysmal leadership, but at the end of the day it's a giant tragedy how wrong-headed policies over the years have gotten us to this point. The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa high school's theater group is forging through what is "crunch time" as they prepare for the upcoming fall musical "The Addams Family - School Edition" on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 17, 18 and 19 on the stage of Olson Auditorium, B-B-E high school in Belgrade. For the first time in school history, the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa football team will play in the state tournament semifinals. The No. 5-ranked Jaguars earned that feat with a convincing 28-6 win against No. 11-ranked Mayer Lutheran in the Class 1A state quarterfinals on Friday, November 10 at St. Cloud Apollo. After gaining a 22-0 lead through the first half, the Jaguars and Crusaders played even throughout the second half as they each posted one touchdown for the game's final score. Opening night is soon upon us! Friday, November 17 is the big day when the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa high school's theater students will perform the opening night of The Addams Family - School Edition as the fall musical. Attached here is a video interview of Maddy Carroll, one of two seniors on the cast. In 2021 and 2022, Carroll was part of the fall musical crew.
