    The Lucky Shots bowling alley in downtown Brooten was the site of Santa Day on Saturday, December 9. For close to three hours, guests streamed through and enjoyed visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus while taking in numerous activities and receiving a hefty amount of free prizes.     The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa girls' basketball team suffered their first loss after a 3-0 start last Thursday, December 7 on the home court. Central Minnesota Christian of Prinsburg overcame a 7-point deficit in the second half in a 58-56 win, their fourth in a row. The Jaguars got back in the win column with a 60-51 section win at Upsala on Tuesday, December 12. This week the Jaguars (5-1, 2-0) hosted Kimball on Thursday and earned a 61-46 win.     On Sunday, December 17 at Sunburg Free Lutheran church, Sunday School children held their Christmas program during the worship service.
