Precinct caucus night is Tuesday, March 1

The world belongs to those who show up, and that is no more true in politics. For citizens of Minnesota, precinct caucuses is a true grassroots-level event where someone can show up and make a difference.

Locally the Republican and Democratic-Farmer-Labor parties will hold caucuses at these locations on Tuesday, March 1 at 7 p.m.

Stearns County area:

Republican Party

Brooten-Belgrade-Elrosa High School, Belgrade

Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party

Sauk Centre High School, 903 State Rd, Sauk Centre.

Pope County area:

The DFL will caucus at the Minnewaska elementary school in Glenwood, with registration and presidential preference balloting starting at 6 p.m., with the caucus to start at 7 p.m.

The Republicans will caucus at the Minnewaska Area high school in rural Starbuck. Registration is at 6:30 p.m.

Kandiyohi County area:

For the DFL party in Kandiyohi County in the Sunburg area, the caucus will be held at the Sunburg Community and Senior Citizens Center.

If you have questions, concerns or a complaint about your precinct caucus, please contact the party holding the caucus meeting. Unlike elections, which are run by local and state government election officials, precinct caucuses are run by political parties. Everything from site location to conducting preference ballot voting is the responsibility of the party.
