Everyone is invited to listen to Brooten Community Church Pastor Rick Krasky's twice-weekly radio messages every Wednesday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m. on KMGK 107.1 FM radio of Glenwood.

The Elrosa city council will meet on Tuesday, November 10 at city hall for their regular monthly meeting.

Sedan city council meeting

The Sedan city council will meet in regular session on Wednesday, November 11 at 6 p.m. The meetings, which are held once per month, are open to the public at the Sedan City Hall.

Belgrade city council meeting

The Belgrade city council will meet on Monday, November 16 at 7 p.m. at city hall for their regular monthly meeting.

Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa school board meeting

The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa school board will meet in regular session on Monday, November 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the B-B-E high school library. For the foreseeable future, school board meetings will be held at the high school due to the use of the elementary library for classroom purposes. School board meetings are open to the public, but visitors to the school are required to follow all state COVID-19 guidelines.

Sunburg community blood drive

On Tuesday, November 17, 2020, the Sunburg community will host an American Red Cross blood drive at Hope Lutheran church from 2 to 8 p.m. This blood drive is being held in memory of Elaine Sjelstad, who passed away on August 12 this past summer. For more than 30 years, Elaine was a long time American Red Cross program leader who helped plan countless successful blood drives.

Bonanza Valley Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club banquet/raffle

The 22nd annual banquet and raffle for the Bonanza Valley Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club will be held on Friday, November 20 at the Padua Pub reception hall. Social hour is 6 to 7 p.m., and dinner is served at 7 p.m. (chicken and ribs). The cash raffle supports the annual trail fund, with tickets available at $100 each. The drawing will be held at 9 p.m. at the Padua Pub on November 20, with the grand prize of $10,000. Two prizes are $2,500 each, and the next three prizes are $1,000 each. Another four prizes are $500 each for a total of 10 winners out of 300 tickets sold. This event is open to the public, and meal tickets are available at the door.

Sunburg Fire Department Gun Raffle

The Sunburg Fire Department and Rescue Squad will hold a fall gun raffle on Saturday, November 21. The event is not open to the public, but everyone is encouraged to purchase a raffle ticket (just $10) from any fire department member. Six guns and a custom-made fishing spear are part of the raffle; Need not be present to win, and 1,000 tickets were printed. Gambling license No. X-33798.

Padua Pub Thanksgiving take-out dinner

The Padua Pub invites the public to take advantage of their Thanksgiving Day Special and leave the cooking to them! The Rooneys and their friendly staff will have take-out Thanksgiving dinners available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. The menu includes: turkey, BBQ ribs, ham, mashed potatoes, dressing and more, salad and dessert bar, beverage included. Please call ahead for large orders at 320-352-2683.
