Department of Health releases January 21 COVID-19 report by zip code

The new COVID-19 case number for the local zip code area of Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa is six for the second week in a row. The rural and town community population of Belgrade (56312), Brooten (56316) and Elrosa (56325) is 4,285. Of that population, a total of six people had positive COVID-19 tests over the past seven days (January 14 through January 20). Below are the new numbers for area zip codes, followed by the cumulative COVID-19 cases in that zip code area over the past year as tracked by the Minnesota Department of Health.

Belgrade, population 2,622: two new cases for a total of 223 (last week's increase was six).

Brooten, population 1,466: four new cases for a total of 118 (last week's increase was zero).

Elrosa, population 197: zero new cases for a total of 17 (last week's increase was also zero).
