BVD 2025: four nights/days of activities!
The annual Bonanza Valley Days celebration in Brooten is coming on July 10, 11, 12 and 13 in 2025! Spread the word and mark your calendars! The BVD grand parade starts at 1:30 p.m. in Brooten on Sunday, July 13, 2025.

Grief Support group in Belgrade
Whether you are grieving a recent loss or one from years ago, all are welcome to meet with others who have known similar losses, including loss of a parent, child, sibling, spouse, job, or health. This group meets once each month for 90 minutes on the third Tuesday of the month. Their next meeting is Tuesday, November 20 at the Big Grove/Crow River/Grace Lutheran parish office in Belgrade from 6:30 to 8 p.m. (downtown Belgrade at the municipal building). Elrosa Santa Day
Elrosa-area children are all invited to Elrosa Santa Day on Saturday, December 7 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic church basement. Here's what kids can look forward to: writing letters to Santa Claus, Arts and Crafts, kids games plus coffee (for adults and milk and cookies! They will also have a hot chocolate bar, and a professional photographer will take pictures with Santa if requested. The event wraps up with a kids prize drawing at 9:50 a.m. (must be present to win). Seniors and families are welcome! This is hosted by the Elrosa Commercial Club and supported by numerous local businesses.

The Brooten Activities Club and a host of Brooten-area businesses invite everyone to the Brooten Santa Day events in downtown Brooten on Saturday, December 7. Activities coming to Marcia's Bar and Grill, Lucky Shots Bowling Alley and the KaDe Shack. More details to follow, but we know all events will begin after 3 p.m. and conclude with the Lighted Christmas Parade at 6 o’clock!

Belgrade VFW Auxiliary Christmas party
The Auxiliary to Saboe-Leverson VFW Post 1825, Belgrade, will kick off the Christmas season by hosting a potluck supper on Thursday evening, December 12. All members of the VFW Post are cordially invited. The meal will be served at 6:00 p.m. at the post home. This Christmas season the auxiliary members are collecting new sweatpants for veterans at the St. Cloud VA. Sizes needed range from S to 3XL. These can be dropped at the VFW or given to any auxiliary member. Your generosity toward our veterans is greatly appreciated.

The Belgrade Commercial Club and invites everyone to their Belgrade Santa Day events at the municipal hall from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 14. Activities include photos with children and Santa Claus plus gifts and treats. Two Just For Kix performance will take place at 9:45 and 10:45 a.m., and children are encouraged to register for a prize drawing, which will be at 10:50 a.m. (need not be present to win).

The Belgrade VFW will hold a Steak and Pork Chop Fry fundraiser on Saturday, January 4 to help kick off the new year. They will serve from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Post home.
