B-B-E baseball splits with Holdingford, goes 2-2 in CMC games (VIDEO)

The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa baseball team went 2-2 with four competitive games taking place across three days.

On Wednesday, May 1 at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud, the Jaguars earned a split with Holdingford with a 9-8 loss and a 10-4 win.

On Friday, May 3 in Elrosa, the Jaguars had one tough inning in an 8-5 loss to No. 5-ranked Paynesville Area, who is currently leading the Central Minnesota Conference with a 9-1 mark.

At Kingery Field in Atwater on Monday, May 6, the Jaguars picked up a big Central Minnesota Conference win against the A-C-GC Falcons by a 13-9 score. They came back from a 6-2 deficit that stood on the scoreboard after four innings.

This Friday and Saturday, the Jaguars (7-4, 6-3) host the Max Bats wood bat invitational in Elrosa. The Friday schedule features Browerville and Hancock playing a varsity game at 4:30 p.m., and the Jaguar varsity faces Brandon-Evansville at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, the day begins at 11 a.m. with a JV game between Brandon-Evansville and Browerville. A 1 p.m. varsity game follows with Brandon-Evansville and Browerville. At 3:30, a JV game with Osakis and B-B-E takes place. The day concludes with B-B-E's varsity team facing Hancock (6-6) in a big Sub-Section 6A-South contest at 5:30 p.m.

Next Tuesday, the Jaguars host Eden Valley-Watkins at 4:30 p.m. in a CMC game. They travel to Paynesville next Thursday and host Maple Lake on Friday, May 17.

In the Sub-Section 6A-South standings, the Jaguars sit in first ahead of Border West.
