Brooten Farmers Market season FINAL one!
ANNOUNCEMENT: the Brooten Farmers Market, which is still seeking vendors to join, will hold their 14th and FINAL session of the 2025 season on Thursday, September 25 at the city park - under the trees! (*RAIN or SHINE! Shelter and gazebo in use if it's raining.) The Brooten Farmers Market runs from 4 to 7 p.m. Additional information is forthcoming in the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper. First Lutheran Church of Norway Lake meatball dinner
The First Lutheran Church of Norway Lake in rural New London will host their fall meatball dinner on Sunday, September 28. (Address: 6338 County Road 40 NW, New London, 56273.) They are serving from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the menu as follows: meatballs, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, salads and a wide array of desserts. Also! They are having a bake sale, garden produce, basket blessing raffle, mystery bottles and kids craft activities. Cost: $15 for adults, children ages 6-12 are $8 and kids 5 and under eat free. Elrosa Senior Citizens Bologna Daze
The Elrosa Senior Citizens invite everyone to their Bologna Daze fundraiser, which will be held for the final time of the 2025 season on Tuesday, September 30 at the Elrosa Bar and Lounge. They will be serving from 5 to 7:30 p.m., and the All-You-Can-Eat price is just $11! The entertainment will be provided by Gig Noonan. The Belgrade VFW invites everyone to the second Pork Chop and Steak Fry of the new season at the VFW in Belgrade. They will host this on Saturday, October 4 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Once a crowd is on hand, VFW members will hold a meat raffle as well. Bring your dollar bills too!

The Elrosa Fire Department will hold their fall Steak Fry and Cash Raffle fundraiser on Saturday, October 11 at the basement of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Everyone invited! Serving from 4 to 8 p.m., tickets $20 a person. Takeouts available. First place prize in the cash raffle is $750! Need not be present to win, drawing to take place at 8 p.m. that night. Tickets can be purchased from any department member.

B-B-E Community Education Women's Expo
The Community Education at B-B-E schools is excited to host their annual Women's Expo on Saturday, December 6 from 9 a.m. to noon at the elementary school in Brooten. This is set up with plenty of room for all at the cafeteria and main gymnasium.
