On the home court in a Central Minnesota Conference game on Tuesday, January 27, the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa girls' basketball team used a late burst of offense before halftime to carve out a 59-41 win over Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City.
The night prior at Maple Lake, the Jaguars won a turnover-plagued game by a 72-50 score.
B-B-E now holds a 14-4 overall record with a 9-0 CMC mark. The last time the Jaguars won 9 straight CMC games was in the COVID season of 2020-2021.
This Friday, January 30, the Jaguars have key date with their first meeting with second-place Kimball Area. The Cubs, who host Friday's game, are 11-2 overall and 6-1 in the CMC. The Jaguars have a break in competition after that before hosting Royalton on February 6 in a big rematch with the Royals, who are tied with Kimball for second place.
