The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars fastpitch team is fresh off of its best regular season since 2009, which was the last year the team finished with an above-.500 record. This year, the Jaguars went 11-8 overall with a 7-7 mark in the Central Minnesota Conference. The .500 record in the CMC was good for fourth place behind Kimball Area, Holdingford and Eden Valley-Watkins. The Jaguars have a handful of close losses this spring, including the last game of the regular season on Tuesday, May 12 when they lost 8-6 at EV-W.
The attached video features the end of the Paynesville game on May 5 in Brooten. In that CMC game, the Jaguars defeated the Bulldogs 9-2 for their first-ever CMC win against Paynesville.

In the 2009 season, the Jaguars were 10-8 overall heading into the Section 5A playoffs. They went 1-1 in the subsection tournament to finish 11-9. Last season, the Jaguars were 10-9 overall for a winning regular season record. They went 1-2 in the Section 3A tournament to finish 11-11.
