The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Resistance Robotics team wrapped up another successful season with a great showing at the Lake Superior Regional competition in Duluth. As they did in 2018 and 2019, Resistance Robotics finished in the upper half of teams at regions. This year they officially placed 30th out of 63 teams after nine qualifying matches were completed. A Settlement Conference, presided by the honorable Judicial Officer John H. Scherer, was held in District VII court in St. Cloud on Thursday, February 13 at the Stearns County Courthouse. The case involved a case brought forward by the State of Minnesota and the Stearns County Attorney's office against Brooten business owner Jana Zenner. Three businesses in our area were severely harmed by many years of wrongdoing by the Brooten Commercial Club. They are Rooney's Bar of Sedan and the KaDe Shack and Marcia's Bar in Brooten.
