The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Resistance Robotics team traveled to Central Lakes College in Staples on Saturday, January 5 as one of eight teams in attendance for the F.I.R.S.T. Robotics Kickoff event. Nearly 100,000 high-school students on 3,790 teams at 146 venues around the globe joined the 2019 Kickoff via live broadcast out of Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, NH. The annual Lions Family Fun Day is Sunday, January 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the B-B-E high school in Belgrade. All ages are welcome including those that do not have children or children at home. Events are lined up for kids through adults including bingo with cash prizes plus numerous other raffle prizes all donated by local businesses and individuals. The Spicer WinterFest is underway and in full swing beginning this week. On Friday and Saturday, Glacial Ridge Winery is hosting an art and wine event from noon to 9 p.m. on both ays.
