The B-B-E/Paynesville dance team and coaches gather with their four trophies at the A-C-GC meet on January 23.

At the Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City meet on Monday (January 23), the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa/Paynesville dance team had a banner night as they head into the final competitions of the regular season. The team competed in four events at A-C-GC: varsity jazz and kick and JV jazz and kick. Other teams at the meet were Sauk Centre, Sleepy Eye and MACCRAY.

When all was said and done, the dance team hauled home four trophies. Three of the four squads took first place: varsity jazz, JV kick and JV jazz; while the varsity kick squad took second place.

"It's so great to see their hard work pay off!" said co-head coach Kim Kulzer following the meet. "I am so proud of where this team has come!"

Next for the dance team is a varsity quad invitational at Alexandria on Friday, January 27. Other teams at the quad are Sauk Centre, Minnewaska Area and Rocori. The next day, the dance team travels to MACCRAY high school in Clara City for the Camden Conference meet. Other teams in the conference include Canby/Minneota, Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd, Lakeview, Renville County West, Worthington and Yellow Medicine East.
