The annual Belgrade August Fest is coming on August 12-15 (Thursday to Sunday) in the summer of 2027. The 2027 August Fest grand parade starts at 4 p.m. in Belgrade on Saturday, August 14.

Big Grove Lutheran church of North Fork Township, invites everyone to their fall sandwich supper fundraiser with their always-entertaining live auction on Friday, October 16. The supper will be served beginning at 5 p.m., and the live auction with Ziemer Auction Service begins at 7 p.m. sharp! On the menu: Padua Pub's roast beef sandwiches, Calico beans, Rommegrot, macaroni salad, bars and beverages. The auction includes beautiful quilts, garden produce, crafts, gift baskets, baked goods and many other must-have items! Sponsored by Thrivent.

The Terrace Mill Foundation will hold a meat raffle fundraiser at Heidi's Bar in Sedan on Friday, October 16. The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. This night's meat raffle is in support of the Sedan Community Group.

Chippewa Falls Lutheran church fall turkey dinner
Chippewa Falls in scenic, beautiful Terrace, invites everyone to their fall turkey dinner on Sunday, October 18. They are serving with dine-in and takeout options (drive-through) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a price of $15. Menu: turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, squash, cranberries, dinner roll, apple and pumpkin dessert. The St. Francis de Sales Catholic parish in Belgrade invites everyone to their fall sausage and pancake supper on Sunday, October 25. They are serving all-you-can-eat style at their Parish hall from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. Everyone welcome! Dine-in or take-out. Price: adults $12, children ages 5 to 12 are $6, and children ages 4 and younger eat free. The church is located at 541 Martin Avenue in the heart of Belgrade.

The Brooten American Legion pancake breakfast will be on Sunday, November 1 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the former Legion Hall (now Bucky’s Pickles) on main street. This supports B-B-E scholarships. See more info next week!

Belgrade VFW Steak and Pork Chop feed
The Belgrade VFW will host their second Steak and Pork Chop feed of the season on Saturday, November 7. They are serving from 5 to 7:30 p.m., and a meat raffle will also be held, so bring your dollar bills! Come out and support a terrific, local organization.

Trinity Lutheran Church Fall Bazaar in Brooten
Everyone is invited to the annual Fall Bazaar at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brooten, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 31. Guests can browse and purchase from Granny's Attic, the Scandinavian Room, the arts/crafts room, the book room and the bake sale/produce area. The Trinity Cafe, located in the Gathering Place, will serve several kinds of delicious homemade soups, hot sandwiches plus a variety of bars with coffee / milk. Invite your friends and family for this fun day of shopping, eating and visiting!

Lutheran Free Spirits youth group fall turkey dinner
The Free Spirits youth group at Big Grove-Crow River-Grace Lutheran parish invites everyone to their fall turkey dinner, which is on Sunday, November 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Crow River Lutheran church in rural Belgrade. This is a free will donation event. On the menu: turkey, real mashed potatoes, gravy, coleslaw, corn, bread, beverages and pie. Proceeds from this event will be used to purchase Christmas presents for local children in need and for youth mission trips. It is a Thrivent-sponsored event.

The next Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa school board meeting is on Monday, November 9 at 7 p.m. at the B-B-E elementary school media center in Brooten. The meeting is open to the public.
