Two adults and two children playing the parts of pioneer-era parents and their two daughters perform a skit recounting the January 1873 blizzard.

The annual celebration at the old log church and museum for the Norway Lake Lutheran Historical Association drew a larger-than-usual crowd on August 20 to the Arctander Township site as the group honored the 84 victims of our state who perished in the 1873 blizzard that lasted from January 7 through January 10 that year.

Video has been added below featuring most of the skit performed by two adults and two children that was written by Norman Hande. The skit centers on the blizzard and how it affected one local family between January 7-10, 1873.
