On May 30, 2022, members of the Brooten American Legion perform the standard gun salute prior to the playing of Taps at their Memorial Day program.
The Brooten American Legion Post No. 288 will host a Memorial Day program on Monday, May 26 at the Brooten Pavilion starting at 10 a.m. Music students from Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa high school will perform, and guest speaker and current elementary principal Josie Dingmann will give a speech.
Just down Highway 55 in Belgrade, the Belgrade V.F.W. Post No. 1825 will host a Memorial Day program that same morning starting at 11 a.m. at the B-B-E high school's Olson Auditorium. Additional details will be published in the May 15 and May 22 issues of the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper.
