Terrace Mill Grand Reopening June 21 and 22, THIS weekend! (VIDEO)

The historic Terrace Mill in Chippewa Falls Township will be celebrating a grand reopening on Saturday and Sunday, June 21 and 22, at the Terrace Mill grounds. Having been closed due to the covid-19 pandemic and reorganizing efforts, the new board of directors is excited to announce a new season of events and the mill being open for visitors! The event is free to the public, with donations accepted for the artists involved and for the mill.

New this season, the Terrace Mill will feature art exhibits from the works of Orlando Haugland, Gerald Solbreken and Jan Devick. Orlando's "Terrace" series mixed media sculptures, wood carvings of Gerald Solbreken, and mixed media and paintings by Janice Devick. All three artists have a tie to the Terrace area.

The popular tour of the Ordway Prairie is being relaunched. Led by Ralph Hanson, tourists can meet at the Mill at 10 a.m. to car pool to the Ordway Prairie to see the native flora and fauna.

A special memorial plaque for Robert Greenfield, a 30-year volunteer for the Terrace Mill Foundation will be dedicated on Saturday, June 21, at 2 pm. Friends and family of Bob are invited to attend to celebrate the legacy of Bob's contributions to the Terrace Mill.

Food will be served from the Terrace Mill Kitchen. Pulled pork and chips sponsored by Mamma G's of Lowry.

Local artist Sabrina Andersen will be offering facepainting to young and old alike. She will have her own designs as well as be recreating popular designs of Jan Devick, who did face painting for over 40 years, and created many totem designs, with her sample board being on display for the celebration,

Classic cars will be on display Sunday, June 22, courtesy of the Sunburg Trolls Classic Car Club.

Also on Sunday at 11 a.m., a unique yoga and sound bowl experience will be led by Barb Ostrander and Amber Dauner Bartlett, by the millstream.

Surrounded by nature and the gentle sounds of flowing water, with an all-levels yoga practice designed to ground and refresh your body and mind. Then relax into stilness with a guided meditation and soothing sound bath--featuring singing bowls and ambient tones to deepen your sense of calm and connection.
