Come one, come all! You are all invited to Brooten for the four-day affair of Bonanza Valley Days. The fun started this week with the BVD Medallion Hunt and then a large number of garage sales that began on Thursday. The first Brooten Farmers Market will run from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 9 at the city park near the Brooten Pavilion. The BVD Worship in the Park, a non-denominational gathering of music and scripture, starts at 7 p.m. in the city park. Deacon Tim Pribula will be the guest speaker. He provided the Brooten American Legion's Memorial Day speech at the Brooten Pavilion on May 25. Also! Please note that FREE cookies and milk will be served after Worship in the Park at the park shelter. This event is open to everyone! Please bring your own chair.

Don't miss the BVD Chicken BBQ!
A big event on Friday, July 10 is the Brooten Fire Department's Chicken BBQ supper, which is from 5 to 8 p.m. at the city park. They serve out of the park shelter, and seating will be plentiful under the big, yellow tent! The cost: free will donation. Please spread the word!
