The Sunburg community hosted a marvelous Syttende Mai celebration on Sunday, May 19. The Sunburg Trolls Car Club raffle concluded the event, and the quilt raffle took place after over 800 tickets were sold. The winner of the quilt was Curtis Engstrom of Norway Lake Township. The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Class of 2024 will hold their commencement ceremony on Friday, May 24 at the high school's gymnasium. The ceremony starts at 7:30 p.m. The attached video will go "live" before 7:30 p.m. to broadcast the graduation over the Internet. The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars fastpitch team has won the playoff opener in Sub-Section 3A-North on Thursday, May 23. They defeated Ortonville 7-2 to advance to the double elimination format of the postseason.
