Drivers in the Brooten/Padua area are advised of a road closure on County Road 18 north of Brooten. Culvert work will take place starting the week of September 10-14 and continue for approximately 2 weeks. A detour will be set up. The Norway Lake Lutheran church parish of rural New London hosted their final park service on Sunday, Sept. 2 at Games Lake (Kandiyohi County) park. Lee Roisum and Carol Welker, both accomplished opera singers, performed special music as part of the service. They are featured in a front-page photo in the Sept. 6 issue of the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper and an accompanying article that week. Check out video from the service below....
The 10th annual Sunburg Trolls Labor Day classic car and truck show was held on Monday, September 3. A total of 212 cars were registered, and over 230 cars and trucks were in the park and surrounding area of the Sunburg fire hall. Photos from the event were featured on the back page of the September 6 issue of the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper. Check out video shown below from that day....
