Minnesota Farmers Union (MFU) is happy to invite everyone to the 2016 FarmFest event at Gilfillan Estates, just outside of Redwood Falls, Minnesota, from Tuesday August 2nd to Thursday August 4th. MFU staff will be there throughout the week and invite you to stop by and visit. There will be hundreds of Farmers and Ag industry leaders at this year's FarmFest, many great discussions in the Wick building and tons to see.

Minnesota Farmers Union will be displaying the "Trusted Choice Chopper" again this year at their building, which is located on lot 509, on Tuesday August 2nd. This chopper was custom built for Trusted Choice and the Minnesota Independent Insurance agents & Brokers by Paul Teutul Sr. of Orange County Choppers, and is used as a fundraising campaign tool together with the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Stop in at the MFU hoop barn and get your picture taken with the "Trusted Choice Chopper".

"FarmFest is a great opportunity for family farmer to get together and discuss what is happening home on the farm. Key rural issues and farm issues are important to keep in the forefront of our congressional and agricultural leaders and Farmfest is a key event where they will be all in one spot together," said Doug Peterson, Minnesota Farmers Union President. Minnesota Farmers Union activities:

CHOPPER: MFU will be displaying the "Trusted Choice Chopper", Tuesday August 2nd at lot 509;

BUFFERS, WOTUS, and OTHER WATER QUALIYY ISSUES: NFU President Roger Johnson will be on a panel discussing the water quality concerns of family farmers, Wednesday August 3rd at 1:15 p.m. in the Wick forum building;

AGRIABILITY: a representative from Agriability will be in the MFU hoop barn all three days to talk about how they can help farmers with disabilities.

The MFU hoop barn is located just west of the forum building in lot 509.
