East Norway Lake Lutheran church's spring meatball dinner was an overwhelming success on Sunday, April 21. In a span of just two hours, close to 300 were served a hearty meal with their specialty meatballs (made by McKale's Catering with use of ENL's special directions), mashed potatoes and all the typical additional food including a massive variety of dessert options.

By the time the newspaper's publisher left the ENL fellowship hall at 12:45 p.m., 285 had been served with a few more yet to get through the line.

Also at the meatball dinner, tickets were sold for a magnificent quilt that will be raffled after worship at ENL on Sunday, May 14 for Mother's Day.. The handmade and hand-stitched 72 by 72 inch quilt was made by the efforts of Sue Yeo, Sue Hauge, Betty Oyen and the rest of the East Norway Lake quilters. Proceeds will benefit local charities, missions and various WELCA projects.

Note: a video from the meatball dinner will be posted here on Friday night.
