Jaguar baseball playoff opener rained out, postponed (VIDEO)

In a fitting beginning to the playoffs for the 2024 season, the Sub-Section 6A-South opener for the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa baseball team was rained out on Thursday, May 30 in Morris. By mid-afternoon, storm clouds were passing through Stevens County, and the second round of the playoffs were postponed by one day. For the Jaguars, they will open the playoffs on Friday, May 31 at 11 a.m. at Chizek Field in Morris. The opponent will be No. 5-seeded Hancock (9-10), who beat No. 4-seeded Benson 7-4 on May 28 in the opening round of the Sub-Section 6A-South tournament.

For the Jaguars, they earned the top seed which came with a first-round bye.

The attached video here is from May 17 in Elrosa, when the Jaguars hosted Maple Lake for the second time this season to conclude a Central Minnesota Conference doubleheader. They won by a final score of 13-4.
