Bonanza Valley Days 2024 in Brooten is coming on Thursday through Sunday, July 11, 12, 13 and 14. The BVD theme for 2024 is "Redneck Olympics: Back For More in 2024!" With just under four weeks to go, hot-off-the-press Bonanza Valley Days posters for the big four-day celebration in Brooten have been added on display at local businesses.

This web article contains a preview of what's to come across the next week for BVD announcements. The Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper is determining the best method to post the full calendar of events, and a future website article will contain a light summary of events as well.

In the picture embedded here, you can get a glimpse of the upper half of the posters. Look for them while you're out and about in the coming week in Brooten, Belgrade and Elrosa. The first official BVD event begins that week on Monday, July 8, with the start of the BVD Medallion hunt. After that, the next event comes on Thursday, July 11, when the B-B-E basketball program hosts their BVD Youth 3-on-3 tournament at the elementary school starting at 9 a.m.

Two new events to BVD include the BVD Youth Art in the Park, which will be from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Brooten city park. This event is sponsored and hosted by the Belgrade Public Library and Great River Regional Library system. It is FREE! Two other events also takes place on Friday, July 12, including the BVD Pickleball tournament plus the BVD men's (adult) 3-on-3 tournament. Details are forthcoming after they have been finalized by organizers.

The BVD weekend concludes with the Miss Brooten Pageant on Sunday, July 14 that follows the grand parade. The BVD grand parade is at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Additional details on all the events are forthcoming in upcoming issues of the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper. Also, the newspaper website and additional social media posts will include BVD information for the public. Sign-ups for the BVD grand parade are underway, and you can sign up by emailing Shelley Leuze at < >.

In the attached video, you can see a video from the finish line of the 2023 BVD Walk/Run event held on July 8. This event is sponsored by the B-B-E Wrestling Club.
