The Sunburg Trolls Car Club hosted their most successful Labor Day show in the group's history on Monday. Turnout exceeded 340 registered vehicles, which topped last year's record turnout of 322. The Elrosa Saints amateur baseball team took on top-ranked New Ulm in the second round of the Class C state tournament on Saturday, August 27 in Dundas. A large crowd at Memorial Field saw a tight ball game play out through the first four innings. The Brewers pulled away from Elrosa in the final innings and advanced to the Sweet 16 with a 12-2 win in eight innings. The United States, that is, at a distance of over 4,300 miles from her home near Paderborn, Germany in Niederntudorf (population 145,000). Charlotte Winkler was a foreign-exchange student at Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa high school during the entire 2017-2018 academic year.
