    The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Area Jaycees held their seventh annual chili cook-off on Saturday, March 12 at the Belgrade V.F.W. This year six teams competed to create the best chili in three categories. Each booth also competed for the best booth decoration and costumes with a St. Patrick's Day theme. John and Darlene Roelike entered for the Belgrade V.F.W. and won both top prizes of Best Chili, as determined by a panel of judges, and also the People's Choice Award.     For the third year in a row and the third time in school history, the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa youth wrestling Jaguars will compete at the state tournament. To get to state, the Little Jags battled on Saturday (March 12) at Pierz, the host of the Region IV Northland Youth Wrestling Association (NYWA) K-6 tournament.   • Easter bunny visits Elrosa

    The Easter bunny visited Elrosa on Saturday, March 26 at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church CCD center. Children all got a chance to stop and greet the Easter bunny and get a treat, while moms, dads and grandparents busily took as many pictures as they could. Children then could visit an Easter egg hunt before sitting down and coloring Easter-themed pages while enjoying cookies and milk.
