The Belgrade-Brooten police department recently received a generous donation from Bayer Built Woodworks towards the cost of their body camera program. Police Chief Casey Jansky reported the news to the B-B Police Board at their March 19 meeting in Belgrade. "They have been a great supporter of our police department, and they want to continue with the relationship by assisting us with monetary donations towards projects," said Jansky. He spoke passionately on the topic of keeping bathrooms and locker rooms as safe spaces for girls, and it offended the school board. He asked for five members to resign...their response? The Easter egg hunt and bicycle drawing for area youth is at 1 p.m. at the elementary school parking lot in Brooten on Saturday, March 30. The bicycles and supplies were purchased with generous donations by the Brooten Fire Relief Association and the Fauskee family of Brooten.
