On Wednesday, August 19, three trees were cut and cleared from the east side of the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa elementary school. In his Thursday, April 23 press conference, Governor Tim Walz ordered that school buildings in Minnesota would remain closed for K-12 education during the rest of the 2019-2020 academic year. In an e-mail to parents on Sunday evening, March 15, Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa superintendent Patrick Walsh reported that K-12 school classes will be in session on Tuesday, March 17.
