Since her eighth grade season, Hailey Braegelman has been a force on the basketball court for the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars. Now a junior, Braegelman has done something few high school athletes can in their careers: join the 1,000-point club. Braegelman entered the home game against Maple Lake with 995 career points. Twice since 2012, B-B-E's state entrants in the Class 1A state speech meet have catapulted the team to a ranking of seventh based on their cumulative performances. In a battle for second place in the Central Minnesota Conference, with both teams trying to stay in contention for first place, the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa girls' basketball team had their hands full on Thursday, January 14.
