    The Elrosa Saints won two games to begin the Region 15C amateur baseball tournament, both in come-from-behind fashion, as they clinched a berth in the Class C state tournament for the first time since 2013. Against Farming, the Saints got perhaps the toughest first-round draw of the tournament when they faced starter Brad Mergen on Saturday morning.     David Hughes, the endorsed candidate for the Republican nomination to run against Congressman Collin Peterson this November, has defeated a challenge from Amanda Lynn Hinson in the August 9 primary election. Peterson is the Congressman who represents the Bonanza Valley area and serves in the U.S. House of Representatives. The general election is Tuesday, November 8.     Here are two videos from the Belgrade August Fest weekend. Major technical difficulties (mostly from a locked-up computer) kept the live stream from working at the musical, and the threat of rain prevented the live stream of the grand parade on Saturday from taking place.
