Round after round, the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars wrestling team was stuck in second place, right behind front-runner Paynesville who took a one-point lead after the first round was in the book at their home tournament on Friday, January 13.     A packed house - the best in all the years that Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa has hosted a home dance invitational - saw a terrific dance invitational on Monday, January 9 at the B-B-E elementary school.     A severe winter storm has turned into a full-blown blizzard on Friday, November 18 across central and west central Minnesota, blanketing the Bonanza Valley area with at least six to eight inches of wet, heavy snow.     The Brooten Senior Citizens group is collecting donations for Eagles Healing Nest of Sauk Centre, a veterans complex on the former Minnesota Correctional Facility. Eagles Healing Nest first opened in June 2012 and had one building and 22 available beds for homeless veterans. Today that figure has expanded to multiple buildings on the campus and 64 beds with over 300 veterans served in a typical month.
