The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa speech team held their season-ending banquet on Saturday, May 10 at the Eagles Nest Bar and Grill in Regal. Jerry Huls, who taught and coached at Brooten schools from 1979 to 1983, passed away on Tuesday, April 29. He was the Brooten Buccaneers head wrestling coach during those four years and also taught K-6 physical education at Brooten elementary school.
