The Easter egg hunt and bicycle drawing for area youth is at 1 p.m. at the elementary school parking lot in Brooten on Saturday, March 30. The bicycles and supplies were purchased with generous donations by the Brooten Fire Relief Association and the Fauskee family of Brooten. Year by year after the pandemic, the Belgrade Lions has built up the annual chili cook-off contest as a fundraiser for the B-B-E Area Food Shelf. This year, with a total of eight different parties providing chili, the Belgrade Lions was thrilled to have 93 individuals participate in the contest. They raised over $200 in loose donations to go with the $465 raised from the contest participants.
