The Gary Breitbach family hosted their annual golf memorial tournament fundraiser on Saturday, June 29 at Prairie View Community Golf Course. The Elrosa Saints amateur baseball team kept their playoff hopes alive with a thrilling walk-off 7-6 win in 10 innings against visiting Richmond on Friday night. On June 20, the Brooten Farmers Market season resumed for the summer and fall. Through the early 2010s, Brooten held a Farmers Market at the city park.
