The spring snowfall from the Easter weekend became part of the fun at the annual Brooten Easter egg hunt. For the second straight year due to late winter snowfall, the Easter egg hunt was held at the elementary school parking lot. Year by year after the pandemic, the Belgrade Lions has built up the annual chili cook-off contest as a fundraiser for the B-B-E Area Food Shelf. This year, with a total of eight different parties providing chili, the Belgrade Lions was thrilled to have 93 individuals participate in the contest. The Dave and Clara Rooney family hosted their 44th annual St. Patrick's Day parade on Sunday. This was one of many events and sources of entertainment held at the Padua Pub on what was a two-day celebration for the community.
