Marlin Henjum, local historian and retired school teacher, passed away on Tuesday, June 24 in Willmar. In 2021, Henjum released his book Wheat King that chronicled the life of Hans Henjum as he immigrated from Norway to America in the 19th century at age 18. Hans Henjum was a great-grandfather of Marlin Henjum. At the Ranch Rodeo held at Smilin'D Arena in Colfax Township on Friday, June 27, a birthday was celebrated for David Henke during the evening. In the attached video, guests at the arena were treated to a Happy Birthday song as part of the fun and excitement.
