If you haven't heard, the Jaguars volleyball team has earned a trip to the Class 1A state tournament that begins on Thursday, November 8. The Jaguars play at 3 p.m. against New Life Academy of Woodbury in the state quarterfinals at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.     On Sunday, July 29, the Elrosa Saints Little Dipper baseball team squared off with New Munich in their sixth straight appearance in the Stearns County League championship game.     The Regal Eagles amateur baseball team is repeat champions of the second annual Elrosa Elite 8 tournament. The Eagles achieved the feat after pulling off a 4-3 win over the host Saints in the title game on Sunday, July 17. Elrosa, 8-5 overall, leads the north division of the Stearns County League.     For the first time since 2008, the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars fastpitch team has extended their season into the second week of the postseason while being one of the last six teams standing in Section 6A.     Athletes at Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa High School and Braham Area High School will benefit from the 2018 California Casualty Thomas R. Brown Athletics Grant program. They are among 79 public middle schools and high schools in 32 states awarded a total of $83,000 to aid sports programs affected by tight budgets.     A 29-year drought at Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa ended on March 3 when senior Adam Jaeger earned a takedown in the closing seconds of the third period to win a 3-1 decision and claim the 152-pound Class 1A state wrestling title.
